Sun Valley Parrot Head Club

The Sun Valley Parrot Head Club was organized to promote friendships and organize social activities for people with similar interests including enjoyment of the tropical spirit of Jimmy Buffett’s music.

In the process of making new friends and having fun, we believe in leaving something positive behind. The Sun Valley Parrot Head Club is open to anyone with the tropical spirit and desire to contribute to the betterment of their communities.

The Sun Valley Parrot Head Club is a member club of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHiP, Inc.), a non-profit corporation that encourages its member clubs to provide a variety of volunteer efforts in the local, regional and national community for social and environmental causes.

Sun Valley Parrot Head Club Takes Flight

If you’re a fan of Jimmy Buffett and/or interested in contributing to the betterment of our community, you may want to check out the Sun Valley Parrot Head Club (“SVPHC”).  The purpose of the SVPHC, like all Parrot Head Clubs internationally, is to promote friendships and provide organized social and charitable activities for people with similar interests including enjoyment of the tropical spirit of Jimmy Buffett’s music.  In the process of making new friends and having fun, we believe in leaving something positive behind – thus our motto “Party with a Purpose”.    The SVPHC, organized just last fall, already has nearly 100 members and has supported causes ranging from the newly established Ellston library; to the Tingley senior meals pantry; to providing means for a Merry Christmas to families in the local community that were in need of support; to reaching out to our local troops serving overseas by sending care packages to let them know how much they are appreciated.

SVPHC activities include monthly social gatherings (usually the first Saturday of each month) and a variety of charitable and special events and activities throughout the year supporting primarily local, but also regional and national charitable and environmental causes.   Membership in the SVPHC is $50 per person, or $100 for a family, and all membership proceeds are used solely to support charitable causes.  The SVPHC is open to anyone with a tropical spirit and a desire to contribute to the betterment of Sun Valley Lake and the surrounding communities.  If you’d like a membership application, notice of upcoming meetings, or more information regarding the SVPHC, email sunvalleyphc@gmail.com or send a request by mail to SVPHC, PO Box 7, Ellston, IA 50074.
